Problem
Data privacy policies are largely inaccessible to consumers, regulations are excessively expensive, and most small to medium sized business lack the expertise and staff to meet the extensive requirements of CCPA and GDPR.
Summary
Co-founded BEACON, a data privacy company focused on technology innovation at the intersection of policy, research, and human-centered design.
What we built:
- Data privacy policy generator
- Enterprise data privacy front end framework (partnership with Crownpeak)
- Data policy grading database/system
Our objective: Help small-medium sized businesses make privacy protection a competitive advantage by delivering a high quality, user-friendly privacy management experience for their customers.
The privacy generator tool made it easy for business owners to stay up to date with newest privacy requirements while protecting themselves, and demonstrating their commitment to customer protection.
My role: Cofounder + product design and development lead. Focused on leading early MVP no-code systems architecture and v1 product development.
Notable:
- Advisors include Brittany Kaiser, Cambridge Analytica Whistleblower
- Board members included Intuit Chief Legal Officer and former NY Assistant Attorney General

- Raised $225k pre-seed funding
